What is available for Children's and Families

Help is available for new expectant mothers and new parents/carers e.g. Bumps and Babes support group, weekly visits from oral health professionals, advice on breastfeeding and on how to massage your baby.

Health visitors and other health professionals run sessions you can attend which give advice and tips on eating healthily and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for you and your child.

Ask about adult learning opportunities. Some examples include skills for life, IT training, ESOL and childcare training.

Childcare is run to support training and group events. Enquire about attending groups to improve children’s language skills, and to make the most out of reading with your child.

If you want to improve fitness, parents and carers can attend gym sessions and take part in sports events run through the dads group.

Come to group sessions to meet other parents/carers including a special group for dads

Groups are available to attend on parenting skills and managing children’s behaviour.

You can come along to play and craft sessions for children. Join in with trips like visits to the Seaside, Pantomime and celebration at a World Party.
